Apr 12, 2018He was preceded in death by his father, Russel T. Gould; his mother, Florence Gould; his brother, James J. Gould; and his sister, Barbra Ann (Gould) Hess. He is survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, Masonic Lodge Brothers, fellow Shriner Nobles, and his longtime friend William MacQuarrie. Graham was a noted horseman and entered the Iowa Horseman's Hall of Fame in 2000. He trained and showed American Saddlebred, Arabian, Morgan, Appaloosas and Quarter Horses across Iowa and nationally. He participated in regional and world championship shows earning many national points. He was a director, vice president and president of the Iowa Horse Show Association. Locally, he was a project leader of the horse 4-H club passing on his knowledge and love of horses on to younger riders. He was known for his skills as a horse trainer, trader and showman which was his lifelong love and occupation. Graham was both a long-term Mason and Shriner, belonging both to the Perian Lodge of Harlan, IA, where he was Worshipful Master, and the Grove Lodge in Marne, IA, where he was twice Worshipful Master. He was also District Lecturer and helped members achieve higher ranks within the Masonic Order. As a Shriner, Noble Graham belonged to the Abu Bekr Shrine of Sioux City, IA. The family thanks Milo Schnider of Council Bluffs, Kirsten Didier of Omaha, and St. Croix Hospice for their devoted care of Graham during his final days. Services will be held at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan, IA. MASONIC SERVICE: Friday, April 6th, at 7pm. CHURCH SERVICE: Saturday, April 7th, at 11am. VIEWING: Friday, April 6th, from 4-8pm, at Pauley Jones. Interment will be in the Harlan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to in Graham's name to a Shriner's Hospital for Children.
